BROOKLYN BROWNSTONE, Brooklyn, NYC
A young family loved the sunny private garden and history of their Brooklyn brownstone apartment, however, the interior was a rabbit warren of dark 1970’s spaces that had been poorly maintained for decades. They were hoping the space could feel larger, brighter, more inviting and contemporary without losing tradition.
This gut renovation maximizes the small footprint by combining an open floor plan with contemporary accents and restored historic detailing. Every square inch was utilized, incorporating many hidden and unique storage solutions. Light from the garden streams from a new rear door into the living area. The result is a bright and ordered modern space that respects and highlights its rich history.
